Books have shaped my life in more ways than I can count. They have been my escape, my education, my inspiration, and my weapon. Everything from the SEAL Teams to publishing has come from a foundation of books and reading. Reading truly is a superpower.

The Jack Carr Book Club isn’t about assignments or obligations—it’s about sharing my love of reading with fellow lifelong learners. Each month, I choose a book — histories, thrillers, biographies, historical fiction, or something unexpected. No pressure, no sign-ups—just pick up the book and start your day with 30 minutes of reading before looking at your phone. For extra credit, read for an hour and reap the benefits.

As John Adams so famously wrote in 1765, “Let us dare to read, think, speak and write.”
