what’s jack reading this summer?
From timeless classics to gritty thrillers and nonfiction, Jack’s curated summer reading has something for everyone!
I am often asked for reading recommendations so here are a few to see you through the summer! The list includes contemporary thrillers, non-fiction and classics. Some are already on shelves and others drop in the hot months ahead. I was lucky enough to read early editions of Red Tide by M.P. Woodward and Sheepdogs by Elliot Ackerman, both publishing in August, along with a non-fiction selection, King of Kings by Scott Anderson. Now that I am finished with Cry Havoc, I can dive into Michael Connelly’s Nightshade and Rick Atkinson’s The Fate of the Day which are on shelves now. I am looking forward to An Inside Job by Daniel Silva coming out in July. Both The Siege by Ben Macintyre and Targeted: Beirut by me and James M. Scott came out last year. If you missed them, now’s the time! And if you have not turned the pages of The Spy Who Came in from the Cold by John le Carré or First Blood by David Morrell, you are in for a treat!
