A true warrior diplomat, he is the first Green Beret elected to Congress He is a combat-decorated Army Special Forces Officer and served as a White House and Pentagon policy advisor between combat deployments to Afghanistan. Congressman Waltz attended the Virginia Military Institute and served more than two decades in the U.S. Army, conducting multiple combat tours in Afghanistan, the Middle East, and Africa.
