I wanted to take a moment on the eve of a new year to stop and say THANK YOU.
2025 was another busy one! We spent most of the year filming TRUE BELIEVER in South Africa, Toronto and Morocco. We wrapped in September and moved right into post-production. DARK WOLF premiered in August and became the #1 show on Prime Video. CRY HAVOC was published in October and became a #1 New York Times bestseller. Closed out the year with the news that TARGETED: BEIRUT had made the U.S. Marine Corps Commandant’s Professional Reading List.
What’s ahead in 2026? A new thriller series kicks off in May – official announcement coming soon. Work begins on the next James Reece novel tomorrow morning, when I start turning my outline into the narrative. TRUE BELIEVER hits Prime Video screens – I don’t have a date yet, but I suspect this summer. My first documentary arrives late summer – more on that in the new year. Work on the next TARGETED continues. The non-fiction takes a lot of time so 2026 will be a year of continued research and writing – I think you will see the second in the Targeted series in early 2027.
What will I do tomorrow morning on January 1st to celebrate the New Year? I’ll be writing.
As William Shakespeare wrote in The Tempest: “What’s past is prologue.”

Not a day goes by that I do not pause to reflect on just how appreciative I am for your support and your trust. 2025 marked nine years into my post-military chapter of life and it is only possible because of you. I am sincerely grateful.

It is surreal to think that I put Morocco in TRUE BELIEVER because I had been there in 1993, well before I joined the military, and this year we finished up the second season of the show here over thirty years later.
